about the

Authors

Sisters and co-authors Peggy Polries Anderson and Linda Polries Donlin spent countless hours researching and exploring the world of Medora. Captivated by Medora's courage and passion, Peggy and Linda weaved research, creativity and vision together in order to bring Lady Medora vividly to life in their debut novel.

Peggy and Linda grew up on a large farm and ranch operation in central North Dakota. Two of eight children, they learned to work hard along with their siblings, assisting their parents with farm duties.

When it came time to choose a profession, both found their flair for writing served them well. They enjoyed similar career paths, working their way up from staff writers to management in communications departments in various industries. They have done public relations consulting together, so moving to writing novels as a team was a natural fit.

Linda and her husband live in Bismarck, North Dakota and have a blended family of five children and nine grandchildren. Linda is a singer and artist as well as a communications consultant; she recently wrote and illustrated a middle-grade book called The Magic of Medora, partnering with her grandchildren.
